The Well is situated in the quaint village of Bradpole, therefore providing amenities including a Village Store, Post Office & Local Butchers. It is not unusual to find produce for sale at farm entrances, and specialist farm shops spread around the area are reachable by a short car drive.

Bradpole also has its own 1840's style Church of Holy Trinity which welcomes visiting practitioners on Sundays.

There are many country foot and bridle paths which run through Bradpole & the surrounding villages. A popular short walk takes a picturesque journey to 'Mangerton Mill' to enjoy a cream tea, a walk around the lake & a browse around the small cluster of individual arts and craft shops. The Mill is situated around 2 miles away in a village called West Milton.
